Below you will find detailed information on the Formula E Miami ePrix this weekend, including a road closure schedule, detours from metro bus and the City of Miami trolley, as well as a message from the Adrienne Arsht Center on how to get to your shows while some of the roads are closed.

With so many events taking place in and around Downtown Miami this weekend, from the Formula E Miami ePrix to the closing of the Miami International Film Festival, from performances at the Arsht Center to St. Patrick’s Day Festivities in Brickell, we want to make sure that you are prepared so that you can have fun and plan your commute.

**Please note: Traffic delays are expected and parking spaces in the area will be limited! Attendees and residents are encouraged to use public transportation, for a map of the Metromover routes, click here.**

Formula E Miami ePrix – This Saturday

 

The Miami ePrix is coming to Downtown Miami this Saturday with round five of the FIA Formula E Championship, the world’s first all-electric racing series! If you would like to purchase tickets, you can do so by clicking here.Race Details:
Gates open at 7am and qualifying races begin at Noon.  The main race is set to start at 4pm. For a more detailed race day schedule, click here.The race course runs on Biscayne Boulevard from NE 6 Street to NE 12 Street – to view the course map, click here.Road Closure Details:
At 10am on Friday, March 13th, the following streets will be closed to complete the race circuit and will reopen by 5am on Sunday, March 15:

  • Biscayne Blvd.: between NE 6th Street and NE 11th Street
  • NE 11th Street at Biscayne Blvd.: this will be made two way between NE 1st Ave. and NE 2nd Ave.: local traffic can access the street between NE 1st Ave. and Biscayne Blvd., and there will be no parking on NE 11th Street
  • NE 6th Street at Biscayne Blvd.: all Westbound traffic on Port Blvd. will be directed to NE 3rd Street

At 8pm on Friday the 13th of March, the following streets will be closed for the final closure:

  • Biscayne Blvd.: from NE 6th Street to NE 13th Street
  • NE 2nd Ave: from NE 12th Street to NE 11th Terrace
  • NE 11th Terrace: from NE 2nd Ave. to Biscayne Blvd.
  • NE 12th Street: from NE 1st Ave. to Biscayne Blvd.
  • Exit 2A Eastbound on SR836/I-395

Exit 2A and NE 2nd Ave. will reopen by 10pm on Saturday, March 14.
The remainder of the above closures will reopen at 5am on Sunday, March 15.

TRAFFIC ALERT for Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March 14Please plan to allow extra travel time for your show this weekend. The Formula E Miami ePrix is happening in Downtown Miami on Saturday, March 14, affecting downtown traffic patterns beginning on Friday and throughout the weekend. The Arsht Center is open for business as usual with the return of the Broadway Blockbuster Wicked, the return of the popular annual Flamenco Festival Miami, and Trust.Please plan to arrive early. Metro Bus Detours

 

Metro Bus Detours will start tomorrow, Friday, March 13th at 10am and run through Sunday, March 15th at 5am.  After 5am on Sunday, regular bus routes will resume.Detour Details:
*All North Bound Routes will use NE 1 Ave to travel North from SE 1 Street to
NE 14 Street.*All South Bound Routes will use Miami Avenue to travel South from NE 14 Street.For more information on Metro Bus, please click here.

 

Trolley Detours

 

Trolley Detours will start on Saturday, March 14th at 6:30am and run through 8pm.Detour Details:
*The North Biscayne Route Loop will run from the Omni Station North to Midtown.*The South Biscayne Route Loop will run from NE 1 Street South to SE 15 Road.*The Coral Way Route detour – the route will NOT stop North of NE 1 Street.During this time there will be no service between NE 1 Street and the Omni Station as well as no service to Port Miami.To view a map of the detours, click here.For more information on the City of Miami Trolley, please click here.

St. Patrick’s Day is next Tuesday, March 17th, however there will be several St. Patrick’s Day celebrations taking place this weekend in and around the Brickell Area.
